Campus Ministry Program

Campus Ministry Program

Siena College CQ, participates in the evangelizing mission of the Church through a Catholic Education which focuses itself not only on academic excellence but also on the social awareness and spiritual development of the students. Pope John Paul II states in his encyclical "Novo Millenio Ineunte" that Jesus must be known, loved (experienced) and imitated.

Hence, Siena College, QC provides a RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM where faith is taught in a systematic, integrated and inculturated manner, grounded on the Scriptures and Church Teachings, a CAMPUS MINISTRY PROGRAM which aims to bring about the Christian ethos or environment needed for the seed of faith to grow and for faith to be experienced and an OUTREACH PROGRAM which enables the students to share their faith through works of mercy, particularly to those in need.

The CAMPUS MINISTRY is a form of service to the whole school community:
students, personnel, parents, alumni and the community at large. Specifically,

1. it provides the students with the necessary Christian activities and experiences to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the truths and values learned in the classroom;

2. it includes the spiritual formation program of the personnel, parents, alumni as all of them have important roles as witnesses to the Gospel of Jesus;

3. it enhances the Christian ethos or environment of the school as it provides activities to worship God as a community.
