SCQC High School Academic Programs

Education must equip young with knowledge, skills, habits and values that will contribute to their formation into true Christian and responsible citizens of our country. Through its curriculum, the Siena College QC High School Development aims to form the student into a well-integrated person who is able to pursue a professional course in college so that s/he will be able to find his/her place in life to serve the community and the country.

The different subject offerings and student activities are all learning opportunities for the students. They form part of the curricular program. They are aimed at providing students with a balanced and total formation and thus the different aspects of their growth and their needs as maturing persons are given due consideration:

Admission Requirements

• Applicants for First Year should have a final general average of 80% or better, a deportment grade not lower than 80% or its equivalent.
• Admission to the upper years would depend on available slots, meritorious cases and full compliance with the required credentials.
• Form 138 or report card
• Baptismal Certificate (photocopy)
• Birth Certificate (photocopy)
• Recommendation Letter from the Principal
• Two ID pictures and long folder
• Passing the Entrance Test and the written and oral interviews.

SPIRITUAL ASPECT
Religion and Values Education classes, liturgical celebrations, reception of the sacraments, retreats and recollections, the BEC (Basic Ecclesial Community) Formation Program and the integration of values in all subjects and student activities.

INTELLECTUAL ASPECT
Academic subjects particularly Science, Math, English, Filipino, Social Studies, Computer Education, and the co-curricular activities that are supportive of the academic program.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECT
Individual and group counseling and other guidance services, the Homeroom-BEC Program and consultation periods with teachers and advisers.

MORAL ASPECT
Religion and Values Education, Homeroom-BEC Program, religious activities, symposia and forums on moral issues.

SOCIAL ASPECT
Language/Communication Arts subjects, English and Filipino subjects, cultural, musical and literary programs, competitions, field trips, outings, interactions with other schools, the high school dance and the JS Prom.

PHYSICAL ASPECT
Physical Education and Health Education subjects, athletic development program, dance arts and Technology and Livelihood Education program.

SERVICE ASPECT
Students' reach-out programs, CAT-I program, fund-raising activities for victims of calamities, exposure trips to the school's adopted Aeta community and other community extension service activities and support to the Free Night High School.
