Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Religious Education

The Education Program of Siena College, Quezon City is a scholarship program wherein the poor but deserving potential teacher-catechists and missionaries are given the opportunity and the priority of the formation service.

The general objectives of the program are:

• To provide opportunities to poor but deserving students to pursue their desire to evangelize and catechize in their parishes, dioceses and wherever there is an urgent need;
• To provide the Christian foundation and education which emphasize the competencies needed to uphold effectively quality education; to provide formal and systematic formation that will help students become well-rounded and dynamic Catholic teachers and missionaries; &
• To inculcate moral and spiritual values, Christian leadership with a sense of mission and commitment, so as to be responsive to the demands of the teaching profession.

The college seeks to achieve these objectives through the Bachelor in Secondary Education Program, major in Religious Education

Admission Requirements

For Freshmen:

1. Submission of the original copy of Form 138, certificate of good moral character from the principal, photocopy of birth certificate / ACR (Alien Certificate of Registration) for foreign students, and four ID pictures.

2. Payment of application and testing fee.

3. Passing the entrance examination and interview.

For Transferees:

1. Submission of the original copy of the transcript of records, honorable, certificate of good moral character from the guidance counselor, photocopy of birth certificate, and four ID pictures.

2. Payment of application and testing fee.

3. Passing the entrance examination and interview.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The Business Administration (Commerce) program, through its various curricular and co-curricular programs, seeks to concretize a Gospel-centered education by developing Christian-Filipino students who are responsive to the needs of the people and society, especially the less privileged.

The main objective of the program is to form Christian Filipino business leaders managers, entrepreneurs and employees who have imbibed moral, ethical, and lawful values, who seek profit with dignity and concern not only for themselves but for the society where they belong.

This program specifically aims to train business administration students to:

• Develop their capabilities as managers, business personnel, and entrepreneurs so that they can be productive members of the society and effective leaders who move toward the preservation of our personal/ethical ecological system;
• Be able to understand and relate with other people in business and industry so that they will be able to influence them to turn from seeking profit at any price to profit with dignity and concern; and
• Apply and utilize skills acquired or developed in conformity with integrity and professionalism.

The college seeks to achieve these objectives through the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) majors in Banking and Finance, Management, and Management Accounting.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Computers have become an integral part of contemporary life and careers in information communications technology are booming all over the world. Businesses and industries, government agencies, educational institutions are in need of people who can utilize computers to improve their operations. Economic experts in our country have identified information technology as one of the pillars of our economy together with agriculture and tourism. Hence, offering this course is an appropriate response to the needs of a time and a significant contribution to the nation's socio-economic development.

The Four-Year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science course, through its Gospel-centered curricular and co-curricular programs, envisions the formation of competent, service-oriented and well-rounded IT professionals who are in constant search for social transformation and compassionate to the less privileged in the society.

The specific objectives of the course are:

• To provide value-laden general education and professional training in information technology;
• To produce graduates who can develop systems supportive of the information technology needs of business and industry, government, educational institutions, etc. using computer-based data processing system;
• To explore the use of computers for real-time processing;
• To adopt computer/information technologies to the Philippine setting and;
• To develop individuals who will undertake research for new knowledge in information technology and its application both in the local and global environment.

Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication

The Mass Communications Program aims to develop well-integrated Filipino Christians dedicated to the service of truth in the fields of mass media and public information. It seeks to graduate professional mass communicators who are effective translators of information necessary for the formation-building and defense of human rights and dignity, especially the poor and the powerless of Philippine society.

The objectives of the program are the following:

• Promotion of the integral formation of the human person and the protection and advancement of human dignity;
• Development of sound professional expertise in an atmosphere of academic freedom;
• Preservation, enrichment and propagation of Filipino cultural heritage;
• Recognition of the vital role of the mass communicator not only as a citizen of his country working for national development but also as a citizen of the world promoting universal good; and
• Cultivation of gospel-centered values necessary for the formation of a responsive and responsible professional mass communication practitioner.

The college seeks to achieve these goals through the Bachelor of Arts (AB) in Mass Communications Program.
